Wendi Johnsen – My Story
Wendi was born and raised outside of Princeton, NJ in a small, rural farm town where she grew up playing in the woods and riding horses. Early on, she realized her love for helping and encouraging others. She began her career with a small training and consulting firm in Princeton. The two founders allowed employees the freedom to contribute ideas and try new things, which enabled her to progress from admin roles into marketing, product development, education and training. This empowering work environment inspired her to be intuitive and innovative while always keeping a focus on the client. As an adoptee and adoptive mom, she transitioned into international adoption, then eventually into healthcare recruitment. In 2021, she and her family moved to Hernando Beach, Florida. Some of Wendi’s personal passions and hobbies include music, singing, her church, hiking with her husband, playing corn hole and spending time with her family. She also has made amazing friendships in her small community in Florida, with whom she and her husband spend a significant amount of time – including boating, going on cruises together and being part of a corn hole league.
With nearly 20 years of recruitment and talent acquisition expertise within healthcare and several other industries, Wendi brings a unique blend of experience that includes outside agency as well as internal company recruitment. She excels in creating and building relationships with clients and uncovering critical pain points, with the ability to steer and transform information into tangible action plans and outcomes. She has been a business owner herself and understands the challenges of finding and keeping the right people while supporting the growth of the business. Wendi thrives on partnering with clients and truly helping others succeed.
