Alexandra Shinn – My Story
Alex is the Talent Acquisition Executive at Griffin Resources and is a trusted advisor and strategist for all aspects of talent acquisition. With expertise spanning various industries, she offers strategic guidance to businesses and leads Griffin Resource’s Talent Acquisition Team. Alex excels in developing tailored recruitment strategies that yield exceptional results, ensuring all client services align seamlessly with company needs and objectives. Her passion lies in cultivating meaningful partnerships. She enjoys collaborating with our clients to enhance their processes, strengthen their internal recruitment, and she values being a part of their growth journey.
Alex was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida. She moved to Tampa where she started her career in human resources and corporate recruiting. She received her bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Literary Studies from the University of South Florida.
Alex is Griffin Resource’s resident adventure-seeker. She is a passionate equestrian, avid mountain biker, and a motorsports enthusiast. In her free time, you’ll find her in the saddle, on mountain bike trails, or racing dirt bikes across the Southeast. When Alex is not riding, she likes to attend professional motorsports events and race her own off-road RC cars.

Hobbies
Alex started racing RC cars at the beginning of 2020 and has attended a variety of local and regional races throughout Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. She races 1/8 scale ebuggy and 1/10 scale stadium truck and has even taken up airbrushing to paint her own RC bodies.
Dirt Bikes
Alex has a deep a love for woods riding and travels throughout the Southeast to compete on her dirt bike. She actively races Hare Scrambles and Enduros in the Florida Trail Riders (FTR) series and frequently trains at local motocross tracks.
Passion
Alex has a life-long passion for horses and enjoys riding hunter/jumpers in her free time. She started riding when she was 5 years old and competed on the USF Equestrian Team in college.
Hobbies
Mountain biking is one of Alex’s favorite activities! She loves to experience all the trails this world offers, with some of her favorites being Bentonville, Arkansas and Madeira, Portugal. One of her bucket-list goals is to ride at Whistler Mountain Bike Park in British Columbia.
