Shanira Castillo – My Story
Shanira is a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist with Griffin Resources and she holds a Bachelors in Business concentrating in HR Management. Her philosophy is that holistic recruiting isn’t transactional; it requires relationship-building with hiring authorities and candidates. Her goal is to find a match that mutually benefits the parties involved for a happy and cohesive workplace.
Prior to Griffin, Shanira’s career involved HR and Talent Acquisition within different industries. She was responsible for hiring top talent in the U.S and Latin America. Along with talent acquisition strategy, Shanira was responsible for DEIB initiatives where she was able to focus on her passion of creating an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment that offers flexibility and balance.
In her free time Shanira is a devoted mother and enjoys being outdoors with her daughter and spending uninterrupted quality time with her family. Her favorite outdoor activities are kayaking and hiking. The longest hike she ever did was accompanied by her daughter when she was only 5 years old and it lasted 4 hours!
